A densely branched deciduous shrub, Amur Privet features handsome green leaves that may be semi-evergreen in mild climates. Creamy white flowers are followed by black berries that ripen in fall and attract birds. Widely grown as a specimen plant, screen, or tall hedge. Tolerates a wide range of soils and urban conditions. Dislikes wet soils. Responds well to pruning.
